Adapting to Change: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
Conference Breakout Session Speaker Proposal

Thank you for your interest in speaking at Adapting to Change: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, the second annual conference co-sponsored by the American College of Health Care Executives, American Society for Training and Development (Palm Beach County GIG), American Society for Quality, and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. The goal of the conference is to increase participants’ knowledge of managing and leading organizational change, to introduce new and positive ways of looking at change, as well as to provide networking opportunities for professionals in our fields.

The conference is scheduled for June 6, 2012, 9:00 – 4:30 p.m. in West Palm Beach, Florida. Presenters will not be financially compensated for their participation but will have their registration fee waived. In addition, you will also have exposure to over a 100 professionals from 4 different national professional associations. Each breakout presentation will be 1 hour 15 minutes in length inclusive of questions and answers. Submissions must be submitted electronically to: Laurie Glover at Laurie@qstsinc.com by noon on February 15, 2012. Proposals received after the deadline will not be considered.

The planning committee is seeking two types of breakout presentations – solo presenters and pairs of speakers. If presenting in pairs, the speakers are expected to deliver a cohesive, single-message presentation meeting the proposed learning objectives. The content of presentation has to relate to Organizational Change. Example presentation topics are: Successfully Leading Change in [Healthcare, Manufacturing] Organizations; Engaging Your People During a Change, Best Practices in Adapting to Local Regulations, Markets and Trends.

There will be a closing panel discussion for the entire group in which we would like to have all speakers participate.

Your presentation must not be a sales pitch for any services, products, program, seminar, institution, practice, association or company. The conference committee has the right to refuse and/or suggest changes to content. The committee does not censor contrarian content; the policy only refers to content deemed to be sales-related and/or inappropriate for the audience. If the committee receives a complaint that your presentation was in any way considered commercial, it may impact future speaking opportunities.
